Privacy level: extreme.
Nothing is tracked.

lawleyos.com is built the same way as the browser it is for: it does not watch you. No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no third parties, no fingerprinting. This page explains exactly what that means, including the few things a website cannot avoid.

5 / 5Zero tracking

What this site never does

The little that exists, and why

No website can run on nothing. This is the complete list, in plain words.

Download counts

When downloads are on, each click adds one to a counter: the date, Windows or Linux, your operating system family, and the site that sent you. No IP address, no browser details, no cookies, nothing that points back to you. Bots are counted separately so the numbers are honest.

Contact messages

If you send a message, we keep only what you type into the form. Your name and e-mail are optional. To stop floods, a scrambled one-way code of your connection is kept for one hour and then thrown away; it cannot be turned back into your address. Ask and we will delete your message.

The server itself

Like every web server, the one this site runs on notes basic connection details (an IP address, the page asked for, the time) so it can work and fend off attacks. Those records belong to the hosting system, are not used to follow anyone, and we have switched off long-term archiving of them.

How the site protects you

Always encrypted

Every page is HTTPS only, and your browser is told never to use an insecure connection here.

Locked down

Pages can only load files from lawleyos.com. Outside scripts, trackers and plug-ins are refused by your browser.

Nothing extra switched on

Camera, microphone, location, payments and ad-interest tracking are all disabled for this site.

No framing

Other sites cannot wrap these pages in their own, so nobody can dress them up to trick you.

The Portal browser

The browser follows the same rule. There are no accounts and no sync. Settings and bookmarks are two small files on your own computer, Clear browsing data wipes site data from it, and the Portal never phones home. It blocks 225 known tracking hosts, strips 28 tracking tags from links, upgrades connections to HTTPS and sends Global Privacy Control on every request. More in the FAQ.
