Bug reports and questions.

Something broke, a site does not render, a tracker slipped through, or you are not sure how a feature works. Send it here. Every message is read, and bug reports go straight into the next release's to-do list.

Sent — thank you. Your message is in. If you left an e-mail address you will get a reply there; bug fixes are announced on the home page with each release.
What is it about?
Which system?
Menu › About shows it. Windows is 1.0.3, Linux is 1.1.3 as of October 13.
Please do not include passwords or payment details. The Portal has no account, so there is nothing to look up on our side.

A good bug report

  • Where: the site address, or the part of the Portal (tabs, downloads, tracking report, settings).
  • Steps: what you clicked or typed, in order.
  • Expected vs. actual: what should have happened, and what did.
  • Your system: Windows 10 or 11, or the Linux distribution and version, plus the Portal version from Menu › About.

Before you write

A site that looks broken is often a blocked tracker it depends on. Open the tracking report from the shield in the address bar: if the site is listed under “Other outside sites contacted” nothing was blocked, and the problem is on their side.

The FAQ answers the common questions: what renders pages, what needs to be installed, where data goes.

Security issues

If you have found something that could expose a user's data, mark the message Bug report and start it with the word SECURITY. It is read first, and the fix is released before details are published.

Write to admin@lawleyos.com. The form above goes to the same inbox.

This form stores what you type, the date and the type of message, and nothing else: no IP address, no user agent, no cookies. A one-hour, salted hash of the connection is kept only to stop floods. The same rules the browser lives by.
